The Raiders went into Cinergy Field needing a win. Coach Hawk was pleased to see R.Smith and R.Moss come up with big plays. The Bengals battled hard the whole game. With the score close 25-20 late in the 3rd Bengals RB E.Bieniemy fumbled on the Oakland 20 yard line, E.Turner with the big hit and E.Allen recovering the fumble changed the game. The Raiders took command of both sides of the ball. Later in the 4th qtr Eric Turner stopped the last two Bengals drives first sacking former teammate Jeff George for a 6 yard loss. Then intercepting a J.George pass in the Oakland endzone.

Robert Smith is ready to run for the Raiders. Smith said, if we are going to win games me and R.Moss have to make the plays. Smith rushed for 177 yards on 35 carries with 2 touchdown's and 7 reception's for 68 yards and a touchdown. R.Moss had the biggest day as a rookie receiving 12 for 124 yards and a touchdown. R.Cunningham was 21 of 35 for 235 yards and 2 TD's.

No Easy Bye !

Coach Hawk worked his boys hard on the bye week. Rookie CB R.Woodson said, man coach Hawk didn't give us a break this week, but it payed off. We worked on shutting down T.Brown so much,and did we forgot E.Kennison. The Bengals have a deep receiving core. Eric Turner was the man on defense in this game, with 4 tackle's 1 interception and 1 sack.
